I have a Henry, Hetty, Harry or Henry XL Plus...

After a while of collecting dust and dirt around the home Henry can sometimes not smell as fresh as he could. To remedy this, we would recommend first; 1.) Giving him a fresh new HepaFlo Filter Bag and a wipe around the drum. 2.) If he is still giving off a smell after this, you could try a MicroFresh Filter which contains activated charcoal to trap unwanted smells. We do not recommend the use of scent beads or fragrance inside Henry, this can damage your Henry and invalidate your warranty.
Henry and friends are fitted with an automatic thermal cut-out switch. This might cut in if the machine has been running for an extended period of time. If the machine feels hot, allow it to cool down for up to an hour. Once cooled down the machine should reset itself. This is a safety feature to prevent Henry getting too hot.
Henry and friends are designed to have peak suction in a variety of situations; however, they can sometimes become blocked with debris. We would recommend checking your machine thoroughly for blockages.
Has your Henry developed a vibrating or shaking feeling whilst in use? This is usually caused by a blockage somewhere in your machine. We would recommend checking your machine thoroughly for blockages.
No. Henry and friends are designed to be used with a bag. Genuine HepaFlo Filter Bags not only collect dirt and dust, but act as a barrier to protect the motor of your machine, they also prevent dust and dirt escaping back into the room.
With average usage your bag may last for up to a month. However, when you need to change your Henry’s bag is entirely dependent on personal usage. You may notice that your Henry has started to feel heavy or has less suction than before.
When using Genuine Hepaflo Filter Bags, a Henry filter needs minimal cleaning. You can remove the filter and shake any excess dust into a carrier bag. Please note Henry’s filter is not washable, as this can degrade the materials of the filter or introduce moisture into your motor.
No. Henry is designed for dry use only.

I have a Henry Wash, George or Charles...

The solution outlet jets can be sensitive to incorrect solution ratio and this can sometimes form crystals in the jets of the spray, which can cause it to become blocked. We recommend soaking the jet in warm water to help these dissolve, they can also be dislodged by carefully using a pin to clear the jet. We recommend to flush solution tubes with fresh water after every use. We also recommend to always use a low/no foam solution, such as Henry Wash and Revive at the correct dilution rate.
If your George or Henry wash is making a loud noise, check to make sure they have enough solution in the tank so the pump isn’t having to work too hard. With all wet machines, they will make a different sound once the float valve has risen. This is to prevent the machine from overfilling.
When in wet mode, check to see if the float valve has activated, as this blocks the airflow and prevents the machine from overfilling. Check for any blockages in the hoses and hose inlet. In dry mode (if applicable), we recommend checking thoroughly for blockages.
Sometimes it can appear that the solution tube is too short to fit to the bracket on the bent tube. This is not a design fault; simply rotate the bent tube and put the opposite end into the straight tube. This will bring the bracket closer to the solution tube and allow them to click together perfectly.

I have a Henry or Hetty Quick...

Henry Quick Filter Pods are designed to last on average 3 weeks, however due to their dust compacting abilities they may last for longer.
